Two-Day Appointed Person Emergency First Aid in the Workplace (Paediatric)
This Paediatric First Aid course has been developed for those who are working with children and babies, it is a HSE recognised qualification. It will be of particular interest to teachers, child minders, creche assistants, playgroup personnel and anyone responsible for youth organisations. There are many bigger companies providing First Aid training in Essex so we have decided to specialise in HSE recognised qualifications for First Aid at work and paediatric first aid is one of these.
It is ideal for individuals who are responsible for children and/or babies, who wish to gain knowledge of emergency procedures and attain a recognised qualification in First Aid. In addition to that of the one-day course, many other childhood conditions and illnesses are included.
Paediatric First Aid is an HSE recognised qualification taught over 12-hours, consisting of theory and practical work. This can be delivered over more then two days to fit in with your requirements. Weekends are possible to.

- Dealing with an unconscious casualty Resuscitation
- Heart Attacks Choking Control of bleeding and shock
- Fractures Burns Head Injuries
- Poisons Bites and stings Fainting Epilepsy
- Anaphylaxia Infantile convulsions Meningitis Diabetes
Although there is no formal assessment, the trainer will assess each individual ongoing throughout the course. This HSE recognised qualification is valid for 3 years.
A maximum of 16 students can be accommodated on this course and must be aged a minimum of 16 years or above.
