Fighting Arts

This is the class that aims to teach effective and efficient self defence. The syllabus is based on an eclectic system, a true Mixed Martial Art (MMA). It has a foundation of  Karate, which is interwoven with techniques found in Ju Jitsu, kickboxing and Kali. Many of the drills and principles come from Jeet Kune Do (JKD). As the students progress the syllabus gives them greater freedom to express themselves. Teaching them to respond to the energy of an attack by flowing with it and using the attackers own energy against them.

It aims to be practical and efficient. Whilst encouraging physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle.

Mind, body and spirit in harmony.

The syllabus is not set in stone. It has its roots in the past, lives in the present and looks to the future. We should all strive to improve ourselves. Keep an open mind and learn from everything that you do. Never think you know it all, always be a student, life is a journey, who wants to reach the end?
