Two-Day Appointed Person Emergency First Aid in the Workplace (Paediatric)
Description
This course has been developed for those who are working with children and babies. It will be of particular interest to Teachers, Child Minders, Crèche Assistants, Playgroup personnel and anyone responsible for youth organisations.
It is ideal for individuals who are responsible for children and/or babies, who wish to gain knowledge of emergency procedures and attain a recognised qualification in First Aid. In addition to that of the one-day course, many other childhood conditions and illnesses are included.
Duration
A 12-hour course consisting of theory and practical work. This can be delivered over more then two days to fit in with your requirements. Weekends are possible to.
Content
A range of subjects is covered including:-
Responsibilities and reporting Assessment of the situation
Dealing with an unconscious casualty Resuscitation
Heart Attacks Choking Control of bleeding and shock
Fractures Burns Head Injuries
Poisons Bites and stings Fainting Epilepsy
Anaphylaxia Infantile convulsions Meningitis Diabetes
Certification
Although there is no formal assessment, the trainer will assess each individual ongoing throughout the course.
This qualification is valid for 3 years.
Numbers
A maximum of 16 students can be accommodated on this course and must be aged a minimum of 16 years or above.
Cost
A maximum of 16 students can be accommodated on this course and must be aged a minimum of 16 years or above. For 4 to 6 students £90 per person, 7 or more students £60 per person.
